So today is your 70th birthday, I will light a candle for you.
I wish that we could celebrate together, here, with you.
I look across at your chair and see you sitting there,
It brings a smile to my face and memories so dear.
I feel that you are here with me and your voice I sometimes hear,
Especially when I am down and life's to much to bare.
Some days I'm fine when I think of you, especially your smile,
But then there are the other days and I cry for a little while.
We'll be together once again and we can celebrate
but, until then I will think of you I'll be patient and have to wait.
